Today I am teaming up with the very familiar Laura from Walking in Memphis in High Heels for her “Day to Night” series. The series takes one piece and shows you how to transition it from day to night!
Well…based on our outfits above, it is pretty obvious that Laura and I have VERY SIMILAR style. While she paired her scuba skirt with a much more casual t-shirt, we both decided to wear sunnies and black heels. Hey, great minds think alike, right! lol
Although they are similar, my outfit went a little more on the fancy side with the patent leather shoes, crisp top and gold/black accessories. I paired this skirt (which by the way I got a million compliments on the day I wore it because it is such a statement piece) with a bright orange top that is actually a dress! But since the dress was the perfect bright color, it totally worked. It is the ultimate trick to mixing up your wardrobe, so try it today. Just make sure you pick a more slimming dress, and a fuller skirt to really cover the dress underneath.
