When I got off the train station in Venice, my mouth literally dropped open and I was stunned…Venice was one of the coolest cities I have ever seen! If was amazing seeing all of the gondola’s and water taxis waiting to pick you up to take you to your hotel (we ended up taking a water bus haha), and the beautiful bridges that covered all of the amazing canals.
Although my dad and brother weren’t thrilled with the idea (they are total guys haha) we ended up riding a gondola later that night at sunset. It was so cool to here about some of the history of the city, travel through the little canals and then go out into the main port area right when the sun was setting (it was breathtaking)!!
We did happen to go there during a very busy time, the Venice Film Festival had just started. So the only thing that would have made this spot better was if I had seen George Clooney or Brad Pitt strolling through the streets 😉
