Red Carpet – The Oscars

The Oscars Fashion:
The Good, The Bad and The Just Ok

THE GOOD

Naomi Watts in Giorgio Armani – My absolute favorite dress on  the red carpet. The fabric was stunning and totally oscar worthy!

Charlize Theron in Dior – How incredible is she? I mean even with that short pixie cut she blew everyone away with the structure and cut of that dress.

Halle Berry – The geometrics of this dress are incredible. She looked phenomenal…I would kill for her body!!

Zoe Saldana – I think she is one of the best dressed stars in Hollywood! She always picks something a little different or unexpected, but it works.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture – I was worried at first that it looked too much like a wedding dress at first glance, but it is stunning. Very fresh and age appropriate for the oscars. Also the “back necklace” is what sold me!

Salma Hayek – I have a new obsession with the brocade look now! The gold and velvet is so on trend for the upcoming fall season.

Jessica Chastain in Giorgio Armani – The detail on this dress is AMAZING!! It literally looks like it was sewn on her body.

THE DARLING

Quvenzhane Wallis in Giorgio Armani – I mean come on….how darling is she? And that bag is awesomely adorable!!

THE JUST OK

Anne Hathaway in Prada – What was the placement of the seam on the top part of this dress???? (total wardrobe malfuntion) But the rest is pretty. But my favorite dress of the whole night is the one she wore when performing…why did she not wear that stunner the whole night?

Kerry Washington in Mui Mui – I liked her Mui Mui dress at the Golden Globes better.  This one looked a little too girly for her. I would have like it better on someone like a Carrie Underwood.

Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli – I thought the dress was pretty but not the most amazing thing I have even seen her in. Not to say it again, but she should have worn the dress she performed in the whole night!

Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton – I just adore this girl, but I hated the bust of this dress. It made her boobs look small and smooched.

THE BAD

Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood – I mean honestly when has she never NOT been on the worst dressed list. So this is pretty expected from her, but I still hate it.

Helen Hunt in H&M – Can someone tell me when H&M started making oscar dresses??? WHAT?!? But the only reason I put her on the worst dressed was because of how wrinkled this dress was.

Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra – I honestly actually think the dress is beautiful, but she looks like a hot mess! Her hair is what put her on the worst dressed list! (And did anyone notice her awkward hop when presenting)?

Maria Menounos – I just don’t like this look for the Oscars. It is so barbie girl (and don’t get me wrong, I am totally a barbie girl and would wear this dress and do my hair like this to something else haha) but even I would wear something much, much more sophisticated to the oscars! I just think she has one of the most amazing bodies in hollywood and could pull off anything and wish she would have just looked more mature.

Top It Off

THE CANVAS –

Hat : Nordstrom ~ Pants : Trouve via Nordstrom ~ Vest : Via Spiga via Nordstrom ~
Watch : Burberry via Nordstrom ~ Sunglasses: Michael Kors via Nordstrom ~
Earrings : Kate Spade via Nordstrom ~ Shirt : H&M  ~ Shoes : Steve Madden (similar) ~
Purse : Louis Vuitton ~ Bracelets : Forever21, J.Crew, Forever21 ~
Necklaces : JMR (bullet – similar), Once Upon A Memory (charm and pearl) c/o

So I decided to do an ode to my haven…Nordstrom!

My mom and I went to lunch at their cafe the other day and I realized I have a true love for that place. I love the customer experience, the food, their coffee, obviously their fashion…but I feel like they are an unbeatable store. I really appreciate the experience and commitment they have to their clients!

Now if I only had the money to only shop there 🙂 …dreams do come true!
