THE CANVAS :

Skirt : Blank NYC ~ Bodysuit : Madewell (alternative) ~
Boots : Kendall & Kylie ~ Coat : Old Navy – Only $35 right now ~
Purse: Staud

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is GLAMMED UP

I absolutely love dressing up. From skirts and dresses, to heels and sparkles, I am all about going glam and adding that extra bling to any look. And with Thanksgiving and the holidays coming up, I have a bunch of events that are coming up where I need to put on my best. So I am trying to get a lot of ideas from the looks I see in the linkup.

For my look this week, I am showing off one of my new favorite skirts from BlankNYC. I love their skirts and own quite a few pair, especially because they come in a variety of colors and material.

I also paired it with my new favorite coat from Old Navy! This is a total dupe of the coat I have always wanted from J.Crew, but the best part is, is that this one is only $35 right now!! Get it before it is gone.

Next week’s trend is ANIMAL PRINT

Cheetah. Zebra. Snakeskin.

I love them all.

Now just come back next week to see which animal print I choose.

Trend Spin Linkup – LEGGINGS + travel tips

Leggings : Spanx

Leggings : Terez via Shopbop

Leggings : similar pair from Alo Yoga

Leggings : Forever21

Leggings : cheap version via Forever21

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is LEGGINGS

I am OBSESSED with leggings. And I am even MORE OBSESSED with leggings when I travel.

I think the reason for this, is that it is dressier than wearing sweats/pajamas on a flight, but still allows you to look fashion forward. Plus it allows you to remain very comfy and warm on your flight (avoid shorts or skirts, as sometimes the temperature on flights can get very cold or your legs will stick to the plastic seats…yuck). I linked some of my favorite leggings I have worn in my “airport fashion” above.

Also, I am sharing some of my favorite travel tips. I not only fly a lot for work, but also fly quite a bit for personal, so I have learned a lot along my way.

Top 5 travel pointers :

1. Bring an EMPTY waterbottle with you. Once you get through security, there are lots of places to fill it up, and then you aren’t paying $4+ dollars for a water bottle.

2. ALWAYS make sure to sign up for the different airline rewards programs. I am a Delta skymiles advocate, and it has allowed me to get multiple free flights last year from all my earnings. You are wasting your points and money if you don’t have one associated to your account.

3. I sometimes try to wear my heaviest clothing items through the airport, including coats, bags, hats and boots/shoes. This gives you more room in your bags, and also helps you stay under the baggage weight limit.

4. For longer flights, I love to pack hydrating items like a really good moisturizer, heavy duty lip balms, Aquaphor (my absolute FAVORITE) and even sometimes a facemask or under eye face pads. The reason behind this, is that most people get very dry on flights and can cause you to look dehydrated and tired after a flight. If you keep your skin moistened through the flight, you are more likely to look your best for your vacation.

5. I ALWAYS have wet wipes with me while I travel. Before EVERY flight, I make sure to wipe down my seat and my food tray before we take off. These can usually be covered with germs and I’ve seen some very concerning things being placed on the trays (used napkins, baby diapers, etc)…so think twice next time when you have a bear apple sitting on that tray. Be safe and wipe those germs away. Plus, it is easy to get sick after flying, and this is another precaution that helps you in catching any airborne germs.

Next week’s trend is DRESSED UP

While I love casual looks, I think I truly love being dressed up. Most of my wardrobe is filled with skirts, dresses, blouses and lots and lots of heels. Plus, I will most likely be dressed up for Thanksgiving (I always do), so I need to start searching for what I should wear.

I was thinking THIS DRESS from Nordstrom…thoughts?

Trend Spin Linkup – FALL FOOTWEAR

THE CANVAS :

Boots : Just Fab (c/o) – love these ~ Turtleneck : Zara (similar here) ~
Leggings : Spanx ~ Coat : (similar here – GREAT price)

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is FALL FOOTWEAR

During the fall seasons, I have boot weather on my brain!! And while I have tons of really expensive boots, there are times where I want a trendy pair that doesn’t break the bank. A perfect example, is that I wanted a pair of snakeskin boots or booties. While doing some online searching, I found these FABULOUS boots from Just Fab! I love the wide selection of boots they have and they are always exactly on trend for that seasons latest looks. Plus, the best news is that they are extremely affordable, making you look chic and classy for a fraction of the price.

Here are some of my favorite ones below :

Next week’s trend is LEGGINGS

Who doesn’t love leggings? I wear mine ALL THE TIME. My favorite pair as of late have been the Spanx version I have on in the photos up above. They are so flattering and I love the faux leather look because they add the perfect amount of texture and spice to any outfit.

What leggings are your favorite?

Perfect gift ideas for the men in your life!

Drumroll please…this is one of the first times I have been the one behind the camera, while MY BOY takes center stage. Introducing Preston! Preston and I have been together almost three years, and while sometimes he pops into my Instagram posts, he is mostly the one behind the camera, taking all of my outfit shots. But today I am excited to showcase him and also an amazing gift idea that I stumbled across.

When it comes to buying gifts for my guy for his birthday…holidays…anniversary…you name it, I seem to always think of the big things first (watches, cologne, a grill, etc.), but while they can be fun to give, they never seem to be really personable, and they can get REALLY expensive. Or if I try to do something a little more sentimental, it always tends to be a frame with us in it (great for me and the house, but not always my boyfriends favorite). So I was trying to rack my brain for what I could get him for his birthday.

This is when I came across Rugged Gifts. They are a site dedicated to great gifts for any guy in your life…boyfriend, husband, dad, grandpa…you name it! Depending on their preferences, they offer keychains, bracelets, necklaces, and much more, and the best part, is that you can totally customize them. For Preston, I decided to have our “dating anniversary” engraved on a simple leather/gold bracelet. And the best part, is that it is in Roman Numerals, which makes it feel classy and sentimental. I loved that this gift was unique and specific to an important time in our life.

Below are just a few of the products they have on their site >>

Anniversary Key-chain // Babies Feet Bracelet // His&Hers Necklaces // Coordinates Bracelet

And with the holidays coming up, this is the PERFECT time to order something for them now. And the best news, is that I have partnered with them to give one lucky person $50 giveaway to their store! Enter below.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway ends next Friday and I will announce the winner the following week. Good luck!
