Today’s trend is Spring Footwear

I have been wearing over the knee boots like crazy this winter, but now that spring is approaching, I want to start incorporating my flats and booties back into the mix. What shoes do you love to wear as the temperatures are on this rise? One of my favorites has to be these Tory Burch sandals. They are actually amazingly comfortable walking shoes (I took them to Italy and Paris), and they are also very fashionable.

With St. Patrick’s Day this last weekend, I had to pull out my green pieces. While I own a ton of colored clothing, I actually realized I don’t have as much green in my closet. But then I found this top that I got at Nordstrom a few years ago, and realized I want to start incorporating green into my daily wardrobe.

Today’s trend is Spring Styles

Spring is such a wonderful time of year, because it seems to bring cheer to everyone around me. I don’t know if it is the flowers popping up, the warming temperatures, or the fact that you can wear a few less layers, but it is definitely a time for celebration.

I went to Wicked a few weeks ago with my Mom, and I wanted to wear something classy, feminine and bold. I decided to throw on this Kingdom & State skirt that has to be one of my favorites. It looks SO expensive because of the thickness of the fabric, quality of the sheen and overall structure of the skirt. When I first bought it, it was around $75, and I am pleased to say it is now on sale for $25 (plus for any of you Queer Eye for the Straight Guy fans, this is Tan France’s clothing company)!

Next week’s trend is Colors

Anyone who know me, knows I love color! Even when I wear black, I usually have to throw a spash of color on.

Today’s trend is Print Mixing

Today I wanted to highlight some of my favorite past looks that involve patterns and mixing different patterns! One of my all time favorite looks was with my Anthropologie floral shirt with a black and white striped skirt. It was such an odd combination for me to pull together, but I thought it worked fabulously. Sometimes to get a great look, you need to push the boundaries and try something new!

I have been so excited for Spring lately! I think I suffer from mild seasonal depression and really struggle in January and February with all the gloom and cold weather. But hope is on the horizon, because the temperatures have been warming up, and I am seeing a glimmer of spring come up through the ground. Now I just need to switch my wardrobe out and put my warm weather clothes up front and center!
