Trend Spin Linkup – EYELET

THE CANVAS

Shirt : Style Mafia, old (love this) ~ Jeans : Old Navy ~ Shoes : Schutz
Earrings : Banks ~ Cuff : Banks  ~ Clutch : Louis Vuitton

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is Eyelet

I have been obsessed with eyelet for a few years now. I have multiple tops and dresses that are focused on this cute cut-out print. While I hinted that I was going to be wearing a dress I own, I decided to switch it up and focused on this fun top from Style Mafia. Sadly it is a little older and not in stock anymore, but hope it gives you some inspiration…maybe even for memorial day this weekend!

Next week’s trend is Midi & Maxi Length

Who doesn’t love a good midi or maxi skirt or dress? They are so in style right now and you can find them at most stores. I have been loving the midi satin slip dresses lately. I think I may have to find one of those for the linkup.

Trend Spin Linkup – ROMPERS & JUMPSUITS

THE CANVAS

Dress : Amazon – under $25!! ~ Hat : Gigi Pip
Booties : Vince Camuto (similar) ~ Glasses : Olivers People (similar style) ~
Earrings : Banks ~ Cuff : Banks  ~ Ring : Banks
Bracelet : The Styled Collection ~ Clutch : Louis Vuitton

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is Rompers & Jumpsuits

I bought this romper back in February after discovering it on Amazon and I have yet to find an excuse to wear it. I have brought it on multiple vacations (Scottsdale and Dallas) and both times I never found the right opportunity to throw it on, so I knew when Mother’s Day was coming up that I needed to pull it out of my closet. I absolutely love this romper because it is so flattering and so easy to wear since it look’s like a dress, but is actually shorts. Plus, it is LESS THAN $25!! Who could beat that 😉

Next week’s trend is Eyelet

I have been obsessed with eyelet for a few years now. I have multiple tops and dresses that are focused on this cute cut-out print. Probably one of my favorite things I own is a dress I bought a few years ago, and while I know its an oldie…it’s definitely a goodie, so I am bringing it back in style and will pair it with some newer items as well. Check in next week for all the details!

Trend Spin Linkup – DRESSES & SKIRTS

THE CANVAS

Dress : Amazon – less than $25 ~ Hat : Gigi Pip
Booties : Vince Camuto (similar) ~ Glasses : Olivers People (similar style) ~
Clutch : Louis Vuitton

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is Dresses & Skirts

If you are looking for an affordable and flattering dress, then look no further than this amazing Amazon find. I purchased this when we decided to go to a Rangers game while in Dallas two weekends ago and I have worn it so many times since. It is the perfect summer dress to throw on for a date night, grabbing coffee, farmers market or even sitting on a patio somewhere.

For my look today, I paired it with some beige accessories, including my Vince Camuto leather booties and my Gigi Pip hat. I think this gave the outfit a little bit more of a country outing feel, but I it would also be cute paired with a levi jacket and some sneakers or flat sandals for a more casual look.

Next week’s trend is Rompers & Jumpsuits

I mentioned last week that I might share my new skort jumper in this week’s linkup, but I decided to save teh look for Mother’s Day, so that look will be appearing next week instead, so stay tuned!

Trend Spin Linkup – SPRING PRINTS + BRIDESMAIDS PARTY

THE CANVAS

Dress : Lulus ~ Flowers : The Petal Coop
Cookies : Cookies by Bethany ~ Bridesmaid Boxes : Pop Fiz Designs on Amazon
Meet The Maids Banner : Amazon

Good morning…I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by today’s Trend Spin Linkup!

Today’s trend is Spring Prints

This is the post I have been waiting to show you all!

This was a special event I threw two weekends ago to ask my girlfriends to be my bridesmaids. I was so inspired by the ethereal picnic-feeling garden parties that I was seeing all over instagram/pinterest and I knew that I had to create a a space that mixed masculine and feminine elements to create the perfect backyard space.

PALLET TABLE

To start, we made the table out of pallets (yes we “borrowed” them from behind a store lol) and stacked two on top of each other to create a little more height to the table. If you needed to, you could also you single pallets on cinder blocks if you can’t find as many pallets, as they were harder to come by than I first anticipated.

LUNCH BOXES

For on top of the table, I got these custom craft boxes to “ask the girls the big question” and filled them with chicken salad sandwiches, sides, the MOST DARLING cookies and of course their own mini bottle of champagne. For an extra touch, I also added a card inside the box with important wedding dates for the girls to remember.

PLACE SETTINGS

Instead of using traditional name tags, I decided to add more of a personalized touch by creating custom champagne glasses with their names on it (big shout out to my sister for her help with this), as well as putting out some of my favorite photos with each of them  in front of their space, so they could easily find their seats.

FLOWERS

Of course I can’t help but have my own dedicated section to the flowers!! One of my best friends, Natalie, who owns The Petal Coop helped create the entire dreamy scene. The table and surrounding area were filled with so many flowers…some tight and small…others with large petals and fully bloomed. But the mix she put together was absolutely perfect and romantic. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! xo

RUGS

To help give the space some texture, I used a mix of jute rugs, Mexican blankets, fleece throws and lots of pillow (mostly borrowed or purchased from ikea) to make the space feel cozy and comfortable on the grass.

DRESS

Since this was such a big day for me and really one of the first things that we got to celebrate, I knew that I needed the perfect outfit. Since it was a garden party, I wanted something that was mostly white, but with a pop of color in the flowers. I found this dress on Lulu’s and knew it was THE ONE! It was so flowy, sophisticated, and evoked the spirit of a bride. I can’t wait to wear it again on our honeymoon, or for even a fancy summer dinner.

This day turned out exactly as I had dreamed and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The next few months are going to be filled with even more fun events and I truly hope they can all be this magical!

Next week’s trend is Dresses & Skirts

This is a trend I am HERE FOR!! I have a dress “skort” that I think I am going to pull off next week, as long as the weather stays good for a few days.
