Basic Cobalt

Don’t you love it when you can find a comfortable and casual dress that you can throw on anywhere and it is always ready to go? Well this is that kind of dress.

The loose fit and bright color make it very eye-catching and it is the perfect piece to wear while traveling or to pack away for a quick outfit because you can easily dress it up or down (especially since it doesn’t even really wrinkle, you can be ready in minutes with some fun accessories).

Solika has a ton of different colors to choose from, even though my favorite was this cobalt blue color, I am also really loving the black version).

I have also been eyeing their new fall collection, and I think I need to add this baby to my closet stat!

What do you think? What would you pick out?

Next week’s trend is ANIMAL PRINT!

Brunching with the Bride

Jumper : Shopbop (bustier version // similar jumper) ~ Wedges : Forever21, old (similar here)

I am doing a special post on my friends bridal shower brunch we threw her because it is finally her

I can’t believe after 9 months it is finally here. I can’t wait to stand by your side as your Maid of Honor.

Last weekend we threw a fun “Brunching with the Bride” themed shower that was complete with a bloody mary and mimosa bar, and lots of yummy brunch items. I picked up some flowers at Trader Joes and made some quick arrangements that I loved! It is such an affordable way to do flowers because it all cost around $30 to do, including the vases. Plus it added the perfect pop of color to our black and white decorations.

I  seriously can’t wait to celebrate this weekend, let’s get the party started!

Off-the-shoulder Dress at the Farmer’s Market

Dress : ASOS (getting THIS and THIS) ~ Shoes : Converse ~
Hat : Forever21 ~ Sunglasses : similar

This weekend I ventured down to the Farmer’s Market with my mom to pick up some fresh produce. I had all the intentions of leaving with bags full of fresh peaches, ripe tomatoes and sweet corn (and instead I left with Kettle Corn haha). Part of the reason I skipped on all the produce is that I realized that morning my dad had already stocked up and decided not to duplicate efforts.

So even though it was not a needed trip, it was still fun to walk around and do some people watching, look at all the vendors products and and catch up on some good quality time with my mama.

If you live in Salt Lake, here are some good farmer’s markets to stop by this summer. Don’t forget to go soon, this is the best time of the year for the best produce!

Downtown Farmer’s Market – Saturday mornings
Wheeler Farm Market – Sunday mornings
Sugarhouse Market – Friday evenings
