Today’s trend is Summer Shorts

Shorts are all the rage right now. While I typically think of denim or a classic athletic short for summer, this year it is all about the tailored and linen shorts (we can thank Sophia Richie for that lol). Although I thought I was going to show off linen, I did decided to go back to my tried and true denim and give you some inspiration for Fourth of July weekend. This is the outfit I wore for last year’s celebration and I think it would be a great one to copy or use for some inspiration!

Today’s trend is Summer Dresses

So…I had all the plans in the world to show you this new dress that I have been DYING to show you, but it looks like it might have to wait a couple weeks. Unfortunately my plans changed, so I threw on something much more casual instead. And although this was casual, I really loved the look of this outfit. This Old Navy dress is one of the my favorites because it is so flattering and can be thrown on so easily (no steaming or ironing needed) and can also be layered for this chillier summer nights.

Today’s trend is Raffia Accessories

Raffia is such a fun material to incorporate into your summer looks! While we have typically seen it in lots of fashion accessries, we are now seeing this trend even make it onto shirts and shorts. What type of raffia looks are you most excited for? Today I am sharing one of my favorite raffia accessories that I actually got from Wal-Mart last summer! This visor is so great for pool days, farmer’s markets or just lounging in the backyard. It is also great for summer because it can get wet in the pool and doesn’t lose it’s shape, and is the perfect accessory to complete a summer look.

Today’s trend is Short Suits

The sky is the limit with the short suits. You could wear a matching two piece set (like we both did here), a casual workout outfit, or even a pair of shorts with a matching blazer or vest. Today, Laura and I both chose more traditional looks with matching shorts and a blazer. This set is the perfect summer transition item because it can be dressed up or down, meaning you could wear it to a fancy brunch or just running errands at the mall. How are you going to be wearing this trend this week?
