Light It Up

Last week I participated in the “Light Up Liberty” run. We completed a 5 mile run in the dark and adorned flourescent necklaces and bracelets. It inspired me to mix dark colors with neon. I also wanted to try two different belts, the first being a neon pink belt, and the second being a spiked black belt (this belt is similar to the one that I became obsessed with in the Sex and the City movie, seen here.)

With jack frost on our doorstep, I thought it was perfect to pair my “snowflake” inspired brooch with this white fur stole. It gave it the perfect amount of sparkle and helped secure the piece together. Now this is really a winter white wonderland.

Adding a little sparkle…

The other day I was on Madewell and saw that they were promoting this shoe, that looks almost identical to these shoes I got at Target recently. The Target version is literally over $100 cheaper. There are certain items I think it is worth spending more money (purses, black dress, coats) that will be in trend for longer than a few years. So unless you know something I don’t know about the tuxedo shoe trend, I think it would be better to go with the “cheaper” version, but that’s just my opinion 😉
