Today’s trend is Accessories

A couple of weekends ago, we headed up to Jackson Hole, and let me tell you, it was beautiful! Between the snowy mountains, blue skis, and amazing landscapes, I was in heaven. But with the beautiful mountains, came the colder temperatures, so I definitely layered up with lots of accessories to keep me warm. Plus this Stetson hat was the perfect accessory to bring because Jackson is definitely a cowboy state, and I fit right in.

I always recommend that if you have never been to a certain area, do a little pinterest or google search, and see what people are wearing. That way you can look like a local, no matter where you go!

Today’s trend is Athleisure

I am typically a very fancy person, but lately I have been all about that relaxed life lately. But when wearing active or lounge wear I still want to look cute (but not pay a fortune!…insert certain high end brands here), so I tend to shop around for my looks on Forever21, Old Navy and Athleta and usually find much more affordable and well made items, like the leggings I am wearing today. 

I also have become a more avid sports fan in the last few years, between college and professional football, march madness and attending baseball games at different stadiums. But, the one thing I always hated is that sports merch seemed to be expensive and never my girly style. I discovered Gameday Couture shortly after, and fell in love! (I literally wanted to create a store like this with dresses, glitter, and cute sayings with your favorite sports team). And if I don’t shop there, I also love to look at the college collections at Victoria Secret’s Pink section. 

Do you have any hidden gems where you like to get active or sports wear? Please share with me because I am always trying to find the latest and greatest, and love to find some unique pieces.

Today’s trend is Spring Colors

In just a few short weeks I am going to be heading back up to Sun Valley to spend time with my parents and my now fiancee. It is my favorite place to travel to, and I am already starting to think about outfits. We typically go to Sun Valley in the late summer or early fall, so I am excited that we are going in March because we might get in some spring skiing. 

Depending on if there is snow on the ground in the city still, we might do some spring activities like a quick hike, bike ride or maybe even some ice skating. 

If we do any of those activities, I definitely want to take some of this outfit I wore last fall. While we always think of spring colors as pastels, I love the idea of crisp bright neutrals. The pop of this white shirt with the blue accessories gives me the perfect feeling of a cool spring morning.

Today’s trend is Prints & Patterns

During these dull winter months, I can get a little bored with my clothes. I tend to wear oversized sweaters and lounge wear a lot to cover up my pale skin and a few of the pounds I put on during the holiday months. Anyone else feel like that? But to mix things up and get our of your routine, it is great to add some prints and patterns to your weekly wardrobe. To do this in a slight way, I purchased these spanx cheetah leggings. The print of the cheetah is not a normal intense animal print, instead it is a faux leather and almost has a slight fade to it, which makes it perfect to be adventurous with your clothing…but not too adventurous!
