On Top of the World

THE CANVAS –

Tuxedo Blazer : H&M (old) ~ Skirt : ASOS (on crazy sale!!) ~ Brooch : Vintage ~
Tights : Nordstrom Rack (similar) ~ Shoes : Jessica Simpson (similar) ~ Earrings : Kate Spade ~
Watch : Michael Kors ~ Ring : David Yurman ~ Purse : Louis Vuitton

So if you are seeing this new post, that means that the world DID NOT end 🙂

Wahoo!!

But now on to fashion. I am loving this new skirt I got from ASOS and can you believe it is under $20 with free shipping? I will admit, it is a pretty dramatic skirt, it puffs out even a little more than it appears in the pictures, but I think it is really fun to play up around the holidays. I also added a brooch (my new favorite go-to accessory  and put it over the button on my blazer to give it a little sparkle. By adding a brooch, I kept the rest of my accessories simple so that the focus was on the center piece.

Outfit #2 – Dressing Up Pants

THE CANVAS –

Shirt : Nordstrom (old) ~ Satin Pants : H&M (old) ~  Shoes : Steve Madden (on amazon) ~
Purse : Kate Spade ~ Long Necklace : Ann Taylor ~ Bracelet : Monica Macha  ~
Earrings : Charm & Chain (very similar, a little larger) ~ Sunglasses : Michael Kors

I saw this post on one of the many blogs I read, and I immediately put together an outfit consisting around some of my favorite Evergreen accessories. I can sometimes fall into the trap of wanting to wear red, black and white to all of my Holiday events, so I thought this was a good alternative that still looked very festive. For an even more glam look, I have been DYING over this green sequined dress from ASOS.

The gold chain necklace also helped give the outfit a little drama. Since this necklace is no longer available, you could try a ribbon or even get some gold mesh from a fabric store to re-create the look.

THE CANVAS –

1. Essie Nail Polish ~ 2. Kate Spade Coasters ~ 3. J.Crew Earrings ~
4. Kate Spade iPhone Case ~ 5. Voluspa Candles ~  6. Brittany Fuson Notecards

These girly gifts can given to girlfriends, sisters, moms, etc. as gifts or stocking stuffers. The best part is that they have a wide price range from $10-$80, so there is something for every budget.

My favorite find was the notecards! I found them on a blog I read and was obsessed. I thought it would be fun to give different sets of cards to my girlfriends and find the illustration that matched their personality the closest!
